Journalism Courses and Scope in the United States

For students with keen insight and curiosity, journalism is one of the brightest careers. Journalism is the fourth estate which is accountable for disseminating the news truly without any leniency. For students who wish to pursue a course in journalism the US offers variety of courses, be it undergraduate, postgraduate, diplomas. Usually a student needs to write TOEFL (test of English as foreign language) or IELTS (international English language testing system) to prove their proficiency in English. Additionally a student needs to secure a decent score in the GRE exam for some specialisations.

The bachelors programs last for 4 academic years and masters programs for 2 years. Students study variety of subjects like, creative writing, ethics, reporting, editing, media law, communication etc. On additional to these students have an option to specialise in various specialisations.
